I don't know how many of you have discovered Pinterest, but I find it
very useful for storing research projects - places I will be visiting,
rooms I am decorating, and even identifying things I find while
beachcombing.
The link above is to the Beachcombing board, where I've stashed all kinds of fascinating sites dealing with stuff found on beaches: everything from clams of the Pacific Northwest to drift seed identification to explanations of sand formations. There's even a Feather Atlas! Fabulous stuff, so I figured I'd share it with you. If you've got some favorite sites, let me know in the comments - I'm sick in bed this week and could use some virtual exploration...

Wish I could bring you a big bouquet of daffodils to make you feel better (not that my dafs are in bloom, or have even thought of poking through the soil yet). I love Pinterest and just clicked on yours to follow. Your pins are very "you"! I was just trolling Etsy (which of course you are on, too) for a vintage book I can use the covers to make into a three ring travel journal for a trip to Washington state later this year. Of course, I'm looking for something very specific - nothing on the front cover or in a perfect world some adorable sea creature motif. :) Sometimes I tune into the Old Faithful Yellowstone Geyser web cam to try to see Old Faithful erupt: http://www.nps.gov/features/yell/live/live4.htm Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteNo dafs here, that's for sure - we're in the eye of a snow-ricane! Massive spring blizzard whipping around the house and shaking the walls. Are you on Pinterest, too? The travel journal sounds like a great project - hope you post pics when it's done (love your journal photos on Flickr.)
